Wedding in Auckland

This past weekend our family headed up to Auckland to celebrate our cousin’s wedding. We had never met the bride before the big day but had a lot to do with the cousin when we were growing up.

We stayed at our aunty and uncles and played with their dogs until it was time to get ready and head to the Wedding.

The reception was at a church – and a relatively new one at that. And the car’s were near new white rental cars, a lot cheaper than a limo and they looked perfectly fine with a different colour ribbon for each car.

It was so cute seeing my cousin get married and see how his nerves calmed a bit once his partner began to talk down the aisle.

The reception was at Butterfly Creek which was pretty nice. I have terrible photo’s of the night and the good ones I don’t want to load as they may not appreciate having their face all over the interwebs.

I wish them the best of luck and hope they enjoy their nice long (5 weeks!) honeymoon.

Have you been to a wedding recently? For those of you planning a wedding how is the planning coming along?

  1. I love a good wedding 🙂
My best childhood friend is getting married in April and I’m one of the bridesmaids. It’s crazy juggling the planning I have to do with the other bridesmaids (also close childhood friends) with having a young baby but I feel so honoured to play a part in it!

    1. Awesome, I’ve never been part of a wedding party (Except when I was like 5 and was a flower girl once), I think it would be heaps of fun, but like you said a lot of work.

  2. Hi, I was googling some churches in Auckland for wedding and just saw your post. The church looks relatively new and seems to be a good place for the wedding. If you don’t mind, can I please grab info for the church? Just the name and the location will be perfect.
Nice posting and thanks heaps! 🙂

    1. Not 100% sure of the exact info as I don’t live in Auckland and got driven to the venue. It is in Mt Roskill, on Richardson Road and is a Catholic Church! Hope this helps 🙂
