After playing around with the Yonanas machine for the Yonanas Review post I did, I came up with this super easy tropical ice cream. It’s one of those recipes that I feel like a bit of a fraud posting because it is so easy.
With only two ingredients, yes two! You can have yourself some healthy tropical ice cream in a matter of moments – provided you already have the ingredients frozen that is, if not – what are you waiting for?
This tropical ice cream is dairy free, gluten free, refined sugar free and very much nasty additive free. Just fruit, plain and simple!

Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 4 Frozen Bananas (cut into smaller pieces)
- 1 Cup Frozen Pineapple (fresh pineapple frozen is best but canned will work fine too)
Instructions
- Ensure the ingredients have been frozen in advance.
- Leave the fruit on the bench for 5-10 minutes to defrost a little.
- Pop the banana and pineapple through your yonanas machine*, alternating the banana and pineapple.
- Eat!
Notes
If you don’t have a Yonanas machine you can use a food processor just leave the fruit out for a little bit longer so it softens a bit but is still frozen, this will help your food processor.

YUM!!!
This sounds absolutely delicious! 🙂 My favourite fruits are watermelon and rockmelon – do you think they would work?
They definitely would work 🙂 Just make sure they are frozen before you put them through the machine 🙂
