I’ve missed the last couple of months ‘Things I Love’ posts as things have been so busy the past few months, by the time I remember we are almost at the end of another month and it just gets put on the backburner!
November and December were huge months for us, November we were out of the country for 3/4 of the month and December saw me enter Two powerlifting competitions as well as all the usual Christmas events and festivities!
So in no particular order, here are the Things I Loved in December 2016!
// Christmas
Of course Christmas is always a big one in December! Christmas has always been a holiday I really enjoy, mostly because there is delicious food and time to relax with family! This year we hosted the Christmas Lunch at our house, we had Croissants and Strawberries for Breakfast, ham with salads for lunch (and Cheesecake and Pavlova ;)) and leftovers for dinner.
// Oceania’s Powerlifting Competition
The competition that I wasn’t supposed to do! I wasn’t chosen for the original team and I was a bit annoyed about it, but just used that as fuel to keep training and get better so next time around I would be in the original team! There ended up being a team rejig and I made the B Team! Long story short, I ended up winning the competition and was stoked!
// EABC Competition
The second powerlifting competition I entered for December, and my first ever attempt at a weight cut and dropping down to the 52kg class! A successful competition despite being a tough weight cut, I managed to hit over 400 WILKS for the first time ever at this competition!
// Bootcamp Christmas
On the 10th December we had a BBQ at our local Bason Reserve for all our Bootcampers. It was an awesome way to relax and have a chat to everyone outside of Bootcamp! I always enjoy our social get together’s as so often we are so busy doing the workout that we don’t get a chance to chat much. Plus it’s nice seeing everyone out of their workout clothes!
// Currently Reading
With the 5 weeks off work I’ll be racing through the books! I’ve not long finished the latest Stephanie Plum Novel (by Janet Evanovich)Turbo Twenty-Three, I’m currently reading a review copy of Meet me at Beachcomber Bay by Jill Mansell and in the queue to read next is The Chemist by Stephanie Meyer.
// Holiday
Our office closes down for 4 weeks over the Christmas/New Years period and this year it has been extended to five weeks which is awesome. Five whole weeks of not having to go to work, and three of those weeks we are also having a break from Bootcamp. Time to get some work done on the outside of the house and hopefully finish off our home office!
// Scent of the month
Given it’s Christmas the scent of the month has to be something Christmassy for our Scentsy Scent of the Month! Peppermint Dreams! A warm rush of chocolate cupcake cooled by a blast of fresh mint!
// Warmer of the month
This month the warmer I have chosen as the Warmer of the month is completely different to what I would usually choose but I think it’s pretty darn cool! The starlings warmer is perfect for the nature lover! Plus it would look great in most homes!
What things did you love in December?? – Comment below and let me know, I love hearing from you!
I loved Christmas too. There was little to no family drama, my brother was home and it was so awesome watching the Little Mister enjoying everything.
I also loved my social life – I’ve made some friendship changes of late and they’ve done me the world of good! x
Actually, December is the most happening month of the Year. I too love December.
