Strawberries and Cream Bliss Ball Recipe

Strawberries and Cream Bliss Ball Recipe

I have been wanting to make some strawberries and cream bliss balls for ages now but never got around to it as I haven’t had the dried strawberries. After a delicious little package from the lovely Nicola from EatwellNZ (her pineapple lump bliss balls) I decided I really needed to finally make the strawberries and cream bliss balls once and for all!

The combination of strawberries with the coconut and the dark chocolate is really nice! The strawberry flavour is subtle but delicious.

Strawberries and cream bliss balls - Move Love Eat

With only five ingredients these strawberries and cream bliss balls are super delicious and very easy to make with the assistance of your food processor. The strawberries and cream bliss balls are naturally gluten free and can be vegan if vegan chocolate is used. They could also be dairy free if you made coconut oil based chocolate!

Whilst they are small they pack a big flavour punch thanks to the dark chocolate. We used 70% and I’d recommend using at least 70% chocolate if you were to re-perform this recipe.

Dried fruits are known to be high in sugar and combined with the chocolate this is not a low sugar treat however they do contain delicious ingredients which are good for you like the coconut and cashews.

Keep these strawberries and cream bliss balls as a treat or to take along to a ‘bring a plate’ special occasion. They are a little over 100 calories for each bliss ball so provided you keep your serving size down, one or two every now and again should be able to fit into your diet relatively easily.

Strawberries & Cream Bliss Ball Recipe
Serves: 18
Ingredients
  • 3/4 Cup Dried Strawberries
  • 3/4 Cup Shredded Coconut
  • 3/4 Cup Cashews
  • 1 Tablespoon Coconut Cream
  • 100grams dark chocolate
Instructions
  1. Chop the strawberries into small pieces.
  2. Add the strawberries, coconut and cashews to the food processor and combine.
  3. Roll into small balls (this made 18 small balls for me) and put in the freezer to harden.
  4. Melt the chocolate.
  5. Dip the balls into the chocolate & return to the freezer for 10-15 minutes to harden.
Notes
Storage depends on how warm it is when you make these. If you would usually keep a chocolate bar in the fridge you will need to do the same with these strawberries and cream bliss balls.
