Today is the NABBA Nationals in Takapuna, Auckland for 2013.
For those who don’t know NABBA is one of the body building associations that run in New Zealand (and all over the world).
I must admit it’s not something I ever thought I would watch once, let alone a number of times or get involved in (I’m an expert tanner now, if you want to hire me let me know ;)) but sometimes you fall for someone who is involved in a new sport (or other hobby) and your eyes get opened to something you’d never really thought too much about before.
Seeing someone you know up on stage reaping the rewards of their hard work is an eye opener and every time makes you really proud of what they’ve done. Knowing how much hard work and perseverance has gone in to preparing for this one day is quiet humbling really and makes you realise that if you really want something you WILL find a way and make it happen. Anything is possible if you just stick with it.
Good luck and congratulations to everyone who made it to Nationals, or any event actually! I admire you all for putting your mind to it and reaping the rewards as well as being able to get up on that stage and share your hard work with everyone!
Have you been to a bodybuilding show before?
If not, would you go to one?
