This month I finally started to make some progress in the ankle department. I was given the all clear the start with some short treadmill runs on a very slight incline near the end of the month which I managed without too much pain. I am now pain free most days except when I do a run or squats then I get a little bit of pain afterwards which generally subsides within an hour or so (which is ok).
The first day I was back at squats I pushed a little hard and I was sore for a couple of days – so lesson learnt. I have also been cleared to do a bit of skipping as remedial exercise for the ankle to get used to the jarring action. Overall a great month with a couple of PB’s achieved as well!!

7th – Legs (Leg extensions, curls, exercises for my ankle etc)

14th – Chest & Back @ Gym (New Press up PB – 20 full body weight!)

16th – Legs – all clear given to try squats again, and a short treadmill run!

18th – Lower Body @ Gym – New PB for Deadlifts! (2x body weight!), and a casual walk.
19th – Rest
20th – Rest
21st – Lower Body @ Gym – Front Squats, Back Squats, Deadlifts and 10 minutes of running! Light weight on the squats as the ankle isn’t handling the heavier weight yet.
22nd – Rest
23rd – Chest/Shoulder/Back workout – Back into Bench Pressing after a bit of a break.
24th – Rest
25th – Legs – Including 10 minutes running and new PB for Leg Press – up by 20kg!!
26th – Biceps & Triceps Workout
27th – Rest (Technically a half an hour session as practice for session delivery at course but was quite easy)
28th – Rest
29th – Rest
30th -Rest
31st – Rest
At the end of a month we had a sudden family illness which I rushed out of town for, at the same time I came down with either a very bad cold or the flu so I decided to rest up and not stress the body out any further.
