Things I learned from a stint in Network Marketing

Some of you may know that I was involved in Network Marketing a few years back, I was involved in a company called MonaVie – you’ve proberly heard of the acai berry and how fantastic is for you, it seems to be in everything these days!

Pretty much MonaVie was [is] a drink with the main ingredient being the acai berry with a whole lot of other fruits mixed in. I am still in the company but not actively doing anything at all.

Don’t worry i’m not trying to sell anything! I just thought I’d give a bit of a list of thing’s I learn’t from being involved in Network Marketing – someone may find it insightful 🙂

  • It’s always about the people & relationships.
  • People will go out all guns blazing for the first few months, then enthusiasm tends to taper off.
  • Once the ball starts rolling it can roll quickly, it can also stop just as fast, a link in the chain can snap off very easily.
  • The feeling you get after going to one of the seminars with great enthusiastic speakers is amazing!
  • I am NOT a natural networker by any means.

And possibly the number one thing I took away from the experience – Live Life to the Fullest! I think this sentiment is shared and felt a lot in our society but not reinforced, it’s nice to have it reinforced.

Have you ever been involved in/or considered getting involved in network marketing?
Have you ever heard any fantastic stories, or for that matter, horror stories?
