A couple of weeks ago a simple tweet ended up in a lot of excitement for me and confusion for the people that I told.
I entered a re-tweet competition run by @getbeef and then didn’t think anything else of it and continued on with my day. Later that evening I saw this tweet and couldn’t contain my excitement:
@Getbeef – AND the winner is @MoveLoveEat . Congrats – beef for the BBQ on it’s way to you. DM us your address details. Thanks for the entries team 🙂
I did get a strange confused look when I announced I had won some meat, the silence at the end of the phone when I exclaimed I had won meat to mum and dad also let me know there was a little confusion. Who win’s meat anyway, nobody really does meat raffles anymore do they?
Anyway I got the point across and it was all very exciting. The excitement continued when the aforementioned meat was delivered right to our doorstep (well by the mailboxes inside the apartment complex).
We received the following;
– Sausages – I’m not a huge fan of sausages but these were as good as sausages get for me so definitely no complaints here!
– Scotch Fillet – the word mouthgasm was uttered when eating this steak, holey crap it was amazing!
– Eye Fillet – yet to be eaten but with the Scotch possibly being the best steak I’ve ever eaten I’d hazard a guess that this is going to be amazeballs.
– Angus Premium Mince – Going to be turned into some amazing burgers which I’m fairly certain will be drool worthy!
– Schnitzel – which was pretty awesome, I crumbed it myself and had some issues with the crumbs falling off, which was my issue not the meats issue 😉
If you want to try Green Meadows beef for yourself check out their website where you can order the goods (the steak actually is THE GOODS, do try it!). It gets delivered right to your door so what’s not to love!
The beef used is purely Angus beef and is farmed in Opunake in South Taranaki, New Zealand.
Note: This was not a sponsored post however we did receive the meat free as it was won in a competition, the decision to do a blog post along with the words mouthgasm, amazeballs and drool worthy are honest opinions and done under our own free will 🙂
Have you tried Green Meadows?
What is your fave cut of beef?
