Instagram alternative for Android

On the weekend after the SSS I spent quiet a bit of time lying around on the couch and blog hopping.

I’ve noticed more and more bloggers are using Instagram to get some awesome effects on their photo’s, since I don’t have an iPhone I tried searching for Instagram in the Android market place and the first App that came up was Picplz, it’s free and seems to work pretty well.

I spent a bit of time going through some of my phone photo’s, putting them through the app and uploading them to Flickr (you can auto send them to Twitter and Facebook and a host of other social media sites as well) to see how the app worked.

I’m pretty stoked with it, given how easy it is to use. You simply click the photo you want to alter then it has about 7-8 different filters you just scroll down and click the one you want then click post and decide where you want to post the photo to (in my case Flickr), you can also save a copy to your phone as well.

Here are some of the pictures I was playing around with…

Do you use photo altering apps or programmes like picplz and instagram?

  1. I use Instagram occasionally. I’ll be frank: I usually use the app if I’ve taken a particularly average photo and want it to look cooler than it is haha.
