Over halfway already…

July already, this is crazy!

Adults tell the truth when they say time speeds up once you turn 18 that’s for sure. The last 6 years or so have been a blur – perhaps this has something to do with working full time more than becoming old enough to drink and gamble?

It only seems appropriate that I should take a look back at my goals from the start of the year and see where we are at!

The list looked something like this;

1 Complete the Round the Bays run
2 Complete a scrapbook for 2010
3 Do at least 2 10km runs
4 Do the Tongariro Crossing
5 Start saving $100 a week towards a house deposit
6 Pass all my papers – which will mean I finish my Post Grad.
7 Get to my goal weight
8 Go to Queenstown

As at today I have completed #1 & #3 – #5 I have started doing with no intention to stop & #7 I am well on the way to doing!

#4 Tongariro Crossing – I’ve missed that boat for the start of the year, so hopefully once the weather and snow clears I can do this at the end of the year.

#6 Pass all papers, I havn’t got my results yet but I’m not holding my breath for the last two. My uncle died right in the middle of my two exams when I was supposed to cram the info into my head, so yeah we’ll see about that one over the next few weeks when results come out.

#8 No intentions to go there as yet, possibly as my end of year trip? We shall see, since we have booked flights to Singapore for September this won’t be our mid-late year trip.

#2 I was actually thinking about the other day, I’ve never completed a scrapbook but I have so many supplies sitting in a big box, I need to just get them out and do it. Maybe when I am house sitting I should take the box with me?

How are you going with your 2011 goals?

  1. It’s such a good idea to re-address your goals!! Sometimes it feels like you’re not achieving as the weeks fly by… but clearly you are doing awesome!

To be honest I can’t even think if what my goals were 2011 were, I think they involved a women’s triathlon, savings and weight loss – I’m getting there… hehe

    1. Totally, I don’t think I would have got through as many of the things On my list if I didn’t have it on the blog and re-look back at it every few months. It’s so easy to just keep trucking on with every day life and forget about the bigger picture 😉
