I have always been a goal setter, I love everything about setting goals and then taking small steps which ultimately end up in the goals being smashed! As we are halfway through 2015 already I am looking back at the goals I set at the start of the year to see if I am still on track to meet them or if any of them no longer serve me.
Without further ado let’s launch into the mid year goal review for 2015!
My 2015 goals were:
- Complete a half marathon – Tick, I completed my first ever half marathon in Ohope with NO training!
- Complete a Triathlon – Tick, I did two! The Kinloch Standard Tri and the Wellington Short Tri.
- Travel to one new place in NZ – Tick, we visited the Hunua Ranges and camped for a couple of nights and it was awesome!
- Travel to one new place overseas – Not yet, but there is still time!
- Cross at least three items off the bucket list – I have ticked off one of these, the half marathon! I still want to tick two more off it, however I’m not sure if any others are realistic for this year.
- Go to the movies at least once a month (or more!) – The first couple of months started out badly but the last month we have been a few times to make up for it!
Wahoo, I am well on the way to achieving all of these goals which is awesome! I also have my separate fitness goals which at the start of the year were cardio based for the Triathlons and Half Marathon and now they are more strength based as I mentioned in my post about potentially doing a powerlifting competition later in the year.
Looking at my goals above I really need to get on to booking a flight somewhere π
Have you met any of your goals for 2015 yet? Or have you set any for the rest of the year?
Thats awesome! I have slacked off a bit, need to get back on track or back in the pool! One major goal is to do the 3:9:3 tri @ Trimaori in November. I am not a good swimmer so bought a concession card to get to the pools every week!
Also, to loft my own weight (last week I smashed that in back squats!)
By the end of the year …. Family holiday to Fiji, 5chin ups and at least 1 handstand pushup! Lol!
Good luck for the tri maori! Where is that held? I am taking part in the Iron Maori for a work team in Napier in November, lucky for me I am just running which comes relatively naturally for me compared to swimming.
Can we get a WOOP WOOP for the body weight back squats!! It’s such as awesome feeling being able to lift yourself!! Loving your goals!
An overseas trip sounds like a fun goal to tick off π This is a good reminder for me to review my goals! I’m great at writing goals, to do lists, plans etc, but not so great at reviewing them. Thanks for the reminder… π
